Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions about buying, installing and using your eSIM.

My eSIM is installed but I have no internet. What should I do?

Make sure the TASIMLA eSIM is enabled and selected for mobile data, enable Data Roaming, and restart the phone. If it still does not connect, turn off automatic network selection and manually choose a supported local operator.

Why would I need to select a network manually?

Automatic network selection does not always register with the best supported network. Disable automatic selection in the eSIM network settings and choose an available local operator manually. If one network does not connect, try another supported operator.

I have signal but no data. What should I check?

Confirm mobile data is assigned to the TASIMLA eSIM and Data Roaming is enabled. Try Airplane Mode for about 20 seconds. If an APN is shown in your email or account, make sure it is entered exactly as provided.

My QR code will not install again. What should I do?

First check whether the eSIM is already present in your SIM/eSIM settings. Do not delete an installed eSIM just to retry, because a QR code may be single-use. If installation did not complete, contact TASIMLA Support with your order number.

What is an eSIM?

An eSIM is a digital SIM that lets you add a mobile data plan without changing your physical SIM. You need a compatible, unlocked device.

How do I install my eSIM?

After purchase, follow the installation instructions you receive. Your plan may support QR-code installation or another installation method.

When should I activate my plan?

The validity start time varies by plan. Some plans start when you first connect at your destination, while others have different terms. Always check your plan details and instructions.

Can I keep my existing WhatsApp number?

Usually, yes. Your existing WhatsApp account can continue to work over your new eSIM data connection without changing the number registered to WhatsApp.

Can I still use my home SIM?

Compatible dual-SIM phones generally let you keep your home SIM alongside the eSIM. Check cellular data and roaming settings carefully, as your home carrier may charge roaming fees.

Does my eSIM include regular calls and SMS?

Many travel eSIM plans provide data only. If a plan includes calling, SMS or a phone number, those features should appear in its plan details.

What happens if I run out of data?

Your options depend on the specific plan. Some support top-ups; with others you may need to buy a new plan. Check the details for your plan.

Can I buy an additional plan?

Yes, subject to availability. Depending on the plan, you may need to install an additional eSIM and your device may limit how many eSIM profiles it can store or use.

How can I check if my device supports eSIM?

Support varies by exact model, purchase region and sometimes carrier. Check your device settings and specifications before purchase. You can contact us if you need help.

Can I install it before I fly?

You can generally follow the installation instructions while you have a stable internet connection. Check the specific plan before doing so: when validity starts and when to turn on the eSIM vary by plan.

Troubleshooting

In most cases you do not need to reinstall the eSIM. Follow the steps in order and change one setting at a time.
